Comfortable living environment, low operating costs and now more affordable, this is the time to consider the best heating & cooling system designed.
Affordable
- Rebates of $1000 available from Twin Valleys Public Power District and the EnergyWise program
- 30% tax credit on cost to install the system, with no maximum, and lasts till 2016
- Lower monthly operating cost with the most energy efficient heating & cooling system
- Qualify for Twin Valleys Public Power District’s “all-electric” rate to save additional money
- With the incentives the pay back for a geothermal heat pump is short
Energy Efficient
- Transfers heat, rather than creating it
- Below the frost line, the temperature of the earth in Nebraska stays fairly constant at 50-55 degrees
- Uses the heat stored in the earth to provide inexpensive heat during the winter
- In the summer transfers heat from your home or business back to the earth
- A ground source heat pump uses this constant temperature to heat and cool your home very efficiently
- 300-400% efficient compared to less than 100% on conventional fuel systems
- With every dollar of electricity used you will get three to four dollars worth of heating & cooling
- With a desuperheater much of your hot water heating needs can be supplied by utilizing excess heat being discharged from the heat pump.
Environmentally Responsible
- The most earth friendly heating and cooling system available.
- Uses less energy
- Consumes fewer natural resources
- Keeps the air fresh and clean
- There is no flame, no flue needed, no odor and no pollutants
- No carbon monoxide is produced since a fuel does not have to be burned. This is safer and provides much cleaner air inside your home
How a geothermal heat pump works
- Uses either a closed or open loop system to transfer heat from or to the earth
- Two types of closed loops—vertical or horizontal

- Vertical loop is a well that is 200-300 feet deep and has a pipe loop, filled with an antifreeze/watermixture Horizontal loops can be one of three different styles (all filled with an antifreeze/water mixture)—pipe loops in a trench, slinky (coiled) loops in trench or a horizontal bore of loops (vertical loop going horizontal)
- Open loop style utilizes water from a well to transfer the heat and is then returned to a different well or discharged into a body of water (lake or river)

Comfort is constant: humidity levels are ideal, no blast of hot air or cold blow and temperatures are constant so the thermostat doesn’t have to be adjusted. And you won’t find a safer heating & cooling system.
