Ahhh, the aroma is enticing. Is it the BBQ? Maybe it’s the homemade pies that smell so good. All you know is that you have died and gone to food heaven! Good food is everywhere during community celebrations and the county fairs. The rest of the entertainment is just as good.
Do you like watching a good parade? So do we. In fact the parades we have are very entertaining if you enjoy horses, antique cars, custom made floats, marching bands, clowns, and locals having fun being down right goofy.
Each community has a unique celebration each year featuring parades, rodeos, street dances, tasty food, kids entertainment, art displays, and lots of people just having fun. It’s our chance to celebrate our heritage or just an excuse to have a large get-together. Social time is important to us.
And the county fairs are the highlight of the year for many. Kids display what they have worked hard on for the past year, whether it is a sewing project, pictures taken, or their livestock. Do you enjoy a good old fashioned demolition derby? We have them. How about a home grown carnival? We have that also.
Why not plan on attending one or several of the celebrations & fairs that take place within Twin Valleys Public Power District. We would love to have you there, and you may have more fun than you have had in years.
