Efficiency is once again a buzz word for our world as we realize that our energy resources are in high demand.  And for us, it means the costs of energy are going to continue climbing.  Today, here in the United States, we consume more energy per capita than anywhere else in the world.

There are many ways we are not very efficient with our energy uses, and you may ask “how can I save energy and save some money also?”  This section will offer you many energy efficiency solutions that you can incorporate into your everyday life.

There are new products that are being introduced all the time that will help reduce our energy consumption.  Learn to read the “EnergyGuide” labels on appliances to find out what is the most efficient to operate.  Most of all, what we do around our homes each day, from turning our thermostat up in the summer and down in the winter to changing to compact fluorescent bulbs, will save us more money than anything else.

With our society becoming more plugged in with computers, printers, TVs, VCRs, DVD and CD players, fax machines, blow dryers, etc. our demand for electricity will continue to grow.  It is up to us to do our part to help keep future costs down.
