Twin Valleys Public Power District was organized in 1944 to provide electricity to the rural farmsteads in Frontier, Furnas, Gosper, Harlan, Phelps and Red Willow counties in southwest Nebraska. Since that time, Twin Valleys Public Power District has developed its diverse system to provide additional electrical service to: rural, residential,commercial, oil wells, irrigation, stockwell, and village consumers. With headquarters in Cambridge, Nebraska, Twin Valleys Public Power District is dedicated to fulfilling the needs of its consumers as feasibly and efficiently as possible.
Sixty years ago, an electric utility was called the “light company”. However, as a supplier of America’s premier energy source, electric utilities are now called upon to heat homes, power a large array of appliances, and offer services that may not fit the “light company” image of the past.
Twin Valleys Public Power District believes in the quality of our product, and we are dedicated to the promotion of electricity. We will continually provide information to our consumers on the benefits and savings they will experience with electricity. To understand the benefits of a heat pump system, we have to have the information available that will prove “why electricity is the smart choice”.

As a public utility, Twin Valleys Public Power District is dedicated to pursing the wishes of its consumers through the election of the Board of Directors. The Board is responsible for maintaining skilled managers with the expertise to manage efficiently and effectively, with the well being of our consumers being of utmost importance.
Open communications is important for Twin Valleys Public Power District. We will keep our consumers informed of changes and opportunities that have an impact on them. We invite our consumers to communicate with us; this way we can strive to better serve their needs.
